Norman Hernandez is a current graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is enrolled in the University's Bachelor of Science + Master of Public Health joint degree program, with a concentration in Health Behavior and Promotion. 

At the University of Illinois, Norman has been involved in research efforts working to craft community-centered solutions to minority health disparities. His work in the Aging & Diversity Lab aimed to evaluate patient and administrator perspectives on the role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Black and Latinx populations. In addition to research experience, Norman's academic coursework reflects a commitment to addressing minority health disparities, through an understanding of sociopolitical determinants of health.

After this graduate program, Norman hopes to continue working toward a community-centered approach to health, through continued research and academic engagement. 

Norman will be working as an intern with Natural Path Nutrition for the Summer 2025 semester.
